At present, time-based maintenance is the main maintenance mode of power system in china. Under this maintenance mode the equipments are repaired at regular intervals. It is easy to cause excessive maintenance and the actual maintenance effect is unsatisfactory. This maintenance method has been increasingly unable to meet the needs of power grid enterprises of high reliability and low operation cost. With the continuous development of on-line monitoring technology and fault diagnosis technology, relay protection equipment condition-based maintenance have the corresponding conditions and basis. With the smart grid construction continues to accelerate, the relay protection equipment must meet the requirements of the development of smart grid. It puts forward higher requirements for the maintenance of relay protection equipment. Each power supply company has been carrying out condition-based maintenance of relay protection by different degrees. However, The exploration and research of maintenance mode is not deep enough, and it can not meet the actual requirements of state maintenance.Taking condition-based maintenance of relay protection in Jinhua as the research object, combining with the current situation of relay protection equipments maintenance, this paper makes a beneficial exploration and research on condition-based maintenance mode. This paper conducts the research on the development and maintenance modes of state maintenance technology and condition monitoring and evaluation; analyzes the current situation of the maintenance state of relay protection equipment in Jinhua area, puts forward the existing problems; analyzes the 3 modes of state maintenance and its common points and different points; through analysis and comparison, determines that the maintenance mode of relay protection equipment in Jinhua is the condition-based maintenance based on reliability; through the analysis of relay protection equipment fault types, evaluation indexes of the reliability of the relay protection is put forward; the reasons for adopting AHP for reliability evaluation is explained; put forwards the reliability analysis model based on AHP; explains the calculation steps of indexes’weight; obtains the results of reliability evaluation and analyzes them; finally explains the implementation of condition-based maintenance strategy and post-evaluation.The study of condition-base maintenance mode of relay protection equipment in Jinhua promotes the management level of Jinhua Power Supply Company, and to improve the better implementation of condition-based maintenance of relay protection equipment, to improve the maintenance efficiency, to reduce the cost of maintenance.
