The smart substation is a key part of the construction of unified strong smart grid". As the China State Grid Corp attaches great importance to the construction of the smart grids, the construction of smart substation has become significantly important. After the experimental work, the smart substation has entered an overall construction stage. The secondary system debugging, as the biggest change in the construction, has put forward higher requirements for the relevant stuff. As the second smart substation in Taizhou,220kV Shizhu Smart Substation is of strategic importance to the whole intelligent process of the smart grids in Taizhou. Based on the secondary system debugging, this thesis introduces the main framework and the key technology of the smart substation. It also makes a conclusion of the key points and test methods during the debugging process, which aims at providing some reference for the construction of the smart substation in the future. In the meanwhile, to solve the lack of merging unit in Shizhu Smart Substation, this thesis introduces the 110kV Nongchang Smart Substation, a relevant project of the Shizhu Smart Substation. The Nongchang Smart Substation is a 110kV substation which contains the intelligent terminal and the merging unit. Its testing methods are quite different from those of the Shizhu Smart Substation. In order to better introduce the secondary system debugging methods, this thesis makes a comparison of the different effect resulting from the two different process layer. The thesis also illustrates the electronic transformer in order to draw a conclusion of the secondary system debugging methods under different modes of smart substations.
