The long-term goal of our energy industry is promoting the adjustment of energy structure, development of clean energy, energy conservation and emission reduction. Now, with the advancement of electric power system reform and the strategy of One Belt And One Road, wind power as a mature renewable energy industry face an opportunity in a new round. In the situation of continuous growth of wind power installed capacity and the unit’s operation time, the wind farm owner attach more importance to improve maintenance decision-making management, control the operational costs and to maintain safety and healthy.operation. Under the existing wind turbine condition monitoring tools, the business of wind turbine’s fault diagnosis based on multiple parameters fusion and target on fault modes is developing rapidly.Compared to the traditional way of targeting on equipment, the method of maintenance decision-making process starting from the failure mode is closer to application.Firstly, determine the typical failure modes of wind turbine’s major systems as the research objects, considering the statistical analysis of failure rate and power loss. Attribute classification and coding of fault patterns one by one, and study on the failure modes with qualitative and quantitative analysis using the effects analysis (FMEA) and fault tree analysis (FTA) of these typical modes which as the basis of decision making for various types of maintenance tasks.Then, based on the risk priority number and the analytic hierarchy process, the risk rank of typical failure modes are evaluated for Sinovel SL1500 wind turbine. According to the RCM logic decision diagram analysis method, the paper gives the decision process of maintenance mode for different risk level failure modes. According to the probability importance degree and maintenance event character, the fault mode all bottom events using the fault tree analysis method deductive reasoning are divided, and formulate the maintenance mode decision method for the basic maintenance event.For the single fault, the decision tree analysis method is adopted to describe the path of maintenance plan for selecting the reasonable maintenance activities which including operating as usual, strengthening the monitoring, online maintenance, on-site maintenance and downtime. Then set maintenance attribute weight and evaluation score and select the optimal plan by comparing the estimated value of the maintenance program. For the case of multiple failure modes and multiple fault reasons, this paper presents a method for decision making based on quantitative analysis of FMEA and FTA, which improve the maintenance accuracy and the speed of the fault reason analysis, and make the decision report of the maintenance plan. For the maintenance of after failure and fault which cannot be carried out on-line monitoring, the paper make system level routine maintenance plan.Finally, this paper presents a design scheme of maintenance decision management system for wind turbines which guide the maintenance work through decision process of maintenance and maintenance mode for the engineering application of the research of typical fault maintenance decision of wind turbine.
