Most of the in-service wharf are damaged,in order to give full play to the potential of old wharf,the society begin to pay attention to the maintenance and reinforcement of the old wharf.However the wharf maintenance theory is very limited and there are many difficulties in acutual application.Moreover,there are also many consideration in maintenance engineering——on the premise of safety assurance,we should be concerned on the maintenance cost and the wharf's using function and the social function in service period in the future.With the principle of minimal maintenance cost to achieve the best maintenance-effect,to establish a complete maintenance by using the Reliability Centered Maintenance in this paper.First of all,the paper introduces the situation of wharfs in service in current time and the problems that wharfs need repaired.then study the maintenance theory based on the safety and economy in different engineering communities.According to the relevant standards,the main functions and performance standards of wharf member are studied.Then the analysis of the damage mechanism and the influence analysis of pier are the key of maintenance strategy.Through the impact analysis table,we can track the damage reason and the influence that will be the basis for the maintenance plan.On the basis,we can determine the maintenance plan thtough.logical decision. Determine the analysis step of maintenance theory,and applied to the high pile wharf.In the process of maintenance decision,three decision models are proposed.To choose the optimum plan is fuzzy multiple attribute decision making process based on many managers suggestions,therefore,using the fuzzy compromise decision making analysis is feasible.Finally,to establish the the construction schedule planning process and dynamic programming flow chart,which provides a reference for the establishment and management of the construction plan of the wharf maintenance engineering.
