The users rely on the power of electric higher and higher, followed by the power supply reliability of power grids demand more and more. Distribution automation system is vital to ensure distribution system reliability, high performance and high power quality, and realizes the power system running safer, steady and economic performance.Distribution automation system is using modern electron, computer, communication and network technology, the online data distribution network and off-line data, the distribution of data and user data, network structure and geographic graphic information integration, constitutes a complete automation system, achieve distribution network and its equipment in normal operation and fault condition monitoring, protection, control, use of modern management and distribution of electricity. It is a system of distribution automation and distribution management. Its purpose is to the distribution network and the user to implement monitoring, protection, control and management in normal operation and accident conditions, improve the quality of power supply and economy, improve services and improve work efficiency. Through the application of distribution network automation system, real-time monitoring of power network can be carried out in time to find and deal with hidden trouble, so as to avoid the occurrence of power failure. Through the application of distribution network automation system, it can improve the management efficiency of the power supply enterprise and improve the service quality of power supply enterprise.This paper introduces the content and the development of distribution automation at home and abroad, as well as the significance to implement distribution automation system in Manchuria. Then there is a detailed analysis of the technology of feeder automation system, control center system and the fault section diagnosis in distribution networks.On this basis, combing with the characteristics and the actual situation of distribution network of Manchuria, the paper determines the adopted mode of distribution automation system of the city. In this paper, the structure of distribution network in Manchuria area is analyzed in detail, put forward the existing problems and the reconstruction scheme of a grid structure. And on this basis, the detailed design of the Manchuria area distribution network automation master system, distribution terminal, communication system construction, transformation program. To make the distribution network system in Manchuria has the automation function, which greatly improves the security level of the power supply in Manchuria area.
