In recent years, the number of electric power communication engineering project construction is growing, the construction period is required shorter and shorter, project schedule control work as an important link of project management work, will decide the project itself can be successfully completed directly, related to the construction unit’s reputation and interests. Therefore, effective project schedule control is particularly important.In this paper, construction progress control of electric power system communication engineering project is researched combined with the actual project example. Firstly, the relevant theories of project management and schedule management are expounds, the project management characteristics and management pattern of power communication engineering projects are introduced, the 6 big problems existed in the electric power communication engineering project schedule management are discussed, and the causes of the problem are analyzed from five aspects. Secondly, the construction schedule control model of electric power communication engineering project is built, the premise of formulating schedule plan and the schedule planning tool are combing; the schedule control management team is set up; the four factors affecting the progress are analyzed. Thirdly, the influencing factors of electric power communication engineering construction progress is assessed by using the method of AHP and fuzzy mathematics method on, then the four measures of progress control is discussed, and the schedule track steps is set up. Finally, To a certain power supply company 10 kv line system communication engineering as an example, and verified the progress control model applied in the electric power communication engineering project progress control is effective.The results provide certain reference significance for the project schedule control electric of power communication engineering in future, at the same time, the search and research for power communication engineering construction progress control, no matter for the construction unit or the construction unit, all has the very vital significance.
