Landscape-Oriented Rain Garden Design

At present, domestic research of the rain garden pays more attention on the construction skill and quantitative research related to stormwater management. Research on the rain gardens landscape environmental performance is not deep enough. As a landscape Infrastructure, rain garden has high landscape quality, plays an important role in beautifying the urban living environment. From the perspective of landscape architecture, thesis studied and explored the landscape-oriented rain garden design and expanding the aesthetic effect of rain gardens.At first, thesis provided the basic overview of the rain garden research at the beginning of the paper, combed the theoretical basis of rain garden including LID, WSUD, Sponge City, Green Infrastructure and Landscape Infrastructure. Comprehensive analysis the concept, function, type and structure of rain gardens. Through the rain garden literature review, summarized the scope of the study and research of rain garden and found that rain garden design in the field of landscape environment research is not deep enough. Proposed landscape-oriented rain garden design direction.In fired of the rain garden landscape design research, this paper comprehensive studied all the elements that affect the rain garden design. Study use the ground of the rain garden as the reference. Analyzed from four aspects of the main influencing factors of the rain garden design.The study mainly discusses the landscape-oriented rain garden design method. First, the main points of landscape-oriented rain garden design have been proposed. Secondly, building rain water runoff control system and rain garden landscape design system. The article separately from the site planning and terrain design, plant landscape design, facility design, the rain elements to explore the rain garden landscape construction of each element in the landscape design of the main contents and methods.On the basis of theoretical research, take Hefei Gaodi rain garden as example, through practical research details the process and method of landscape-oriented rain garden design.Based on landscape-oriented rain gardens design, the study can strengthening its landscape of artistic expression in the practical application of rain gardens, the meet stormwater management effectiveness while strengthening the rain gardens to beautify the urban living environment aesthetic effect, provide assistance to build a better livable sponges city.
