Researches On Spatial Structure Evolution Of Jinhua City Based On Space Syntax

Since the reform and opening up, China’s urbanization has entered a period of rapid development. The rapid development of urbanization has brought a series of problems to the city’s transportation, environment and economic and social sustainable development. Analysis of urban spatial structure evolution process and mining operating mechanism and rules hidden behind it has important theoretical and practical significance, which is contribute to find the problems existing in the urban development and guide the scientific urban planning and healthy operation.Jinhua city is located in the central part of Zhejiang province. Over the past 30 years, the urbanization of Jinhua is rapid, the scale of the city is expanding, the urban spatial structure is more complicated, and the urban problems are gradually highlighted. So, it is particularly urgent to find the coping strategies of urban problems by studying the evolution of urban spatial structure in Jinhua City.Space Syntax, as a new theory of architecture, brings new ideas and techniques for the study of urban spatial structure. Using the space syntax on the research of urban internal spatial structure, it can not only intuitively show the distribution characteristics of urban spatial structure, but also conducive to the discovery of the evolution of urban structure. more conducive to discover the impact of urban spatial structure changes in socio-economic factors.Therefore, based on space syntax theory and method as technical support, taking Jinhua City as the research object, selecting maps of four phases in Jinhua to extract the axil maps of the urban spatial structure axis, this paper analyzes the evolution of Jinhua’s spatial structure.The main research work and conclusions outlined in this article are as follows:(1) The axis map is generated and the model is validated by the Space Syntax analysis software Depth Map, choosing maps of Jinhua city in four stages, including 1900,1948,1985 and 2015.(2) Based on the variables of Space Syntax such as global integration, local integration, intelligibility and so on, the article studies the characteristics and laws of the development and evolution of urban spatial structure in Jinhua city during 120 years. The development and evolution of the high-integration-core model’axis in Jinhua city is extracted and analyzed by using the high-integration-core model in Space Syntax software.(3) The spatial structure evolution of Jinhua city is:the center of Jinhua city first moved west from eastward, then moved from the north. The spatial structure evolution of Jinhua urban area has obvious effect on the hetero-organization.(4) According to the axis model of 2015, combined with the field survey, it is found that the more prominent problem of current stage of Jinhua city structure is traffic congestion and regional development imbalance. Traffic is congested sections appear in the high-integration-core of 2015 Jinhua city’s axis model.(5) According to the mid-Zhejiang urban agglomeration planning map, combined with axial model in present stage, the study suggests that the development mode of Jinhua city’s spatial structure has certain radiation effects on the surrounding urban development.
