Analyse The Spatial Structure Of Nanyang Central City Based On Space Syntax

Nanyang central city is in rapid urbanization and the spatial development capacity is limited.On the one hand,it is necessary to meet the needs of urban spatial expansion,on the other hand,it must face and solve the “urban disease” such as traffic pressure,a shortage of land-use but disordered in arrangement,urban landscape's ecological serious damage and the loss of urban culture.So,combing the context of urban space development and mastering the evolution of urban spatial structure is the key to solve the above problems.Space Syntax provides an advanced way for the study of urban space,becoming a trend in recent years of space research.On the basis of a systematic understanding of the history of Nanyang city,according to the available information,the researcher applied Space Syntax to analyze the spatial structure evolution of Nanyang central city.After selecting and simulating the spatial structure of Nanyang central city in 1955,1979,1992,2005,2010,early 2015 and planning 2020,the paper analyzed the spatial structure evolution mainly from the city center,the city axis and the relationship between local and overall by means of empirical data and quantitative methods.On the basis of analysis,forecasting the development direction of urban spatial structure to reveal some characteristics and social marks of the urban space:(1)The urban space is in a disorderly development by stretching firstly toward the west,north and then to the east,south;(2)The urban spatial pattern is progressing from the single-center pattern to the multi-center pattern and Baihe plays a huge role in urban spatial structure evolution;(3)Between 1955 and 2015,the urban main axis shifted from Xinhua Road in historic district to the trend of multi axis networked connection based on Dushan Avenue,while it can be forecasted that the network will be more completed dominated by Beijing road in 2020;(4)In the development process of the multi-center,the relationship between the whole and the part changed dramatically from 1955 to 2015 caused by the uncoordinated development among districts and it was not easy for the citizen to understand the whole spatial system in local space,but the relationship will be improved from 2015 to 2020 according to the Intelligibility and Synergy,which is the result of the stable development of the multi-center pattern and the gradual establishment of the free-wheel-axle urban spatial structure.While the researcher is trying to provide a new idea for the construction of urban green space network by combining Space Syntax with the network structure: The urban green space network is gradually established,and it is helpful to establish the urban green space network efficiently by arranging corresponding public green land or ecological corridors according to the urban centers at all levels or the urban axis.Finally,the researcher gives some suggestions on the optimization of the Nanyang central city's spatial structure under the premise of the analysis and exploration:(1)Pay attention to the organic renewal of historic district;(2)Strengthen the link between districts by promoting the construction of the Hedong district,Wangcun district and Dongzhan district;(3)The connection axis between the urban center and the urban fringe is not enough;(4)In the construction of urban green space network,it is better to increase the number of public green in Hedong district,Wangcun district and Dongzhan district while promote the construction of ecological corridors around the Xinchen Road,Jingwan Road,Yanxihuan Road,Guangwuxi Road and Changjiangdong Road that occupy an important position in the axis model.
