Red Scenic Area is build up mainly on cultural relic and ancient buildings so tourist could experience the history of recent China and learn the psychological baptism through the fantastic travel.As one of the fourth Chinese classic landscape essentials, the situation of waterscape in landscape design is very considerable. How to design the waterscape which fitting applications of using function with spots and make choice within them are the subjects which modern landscapes architects often discuss.The designing procedure needs a lot of theory research and practicing research. According to gathering, arranging theory research, and investigating the area which is designed, the thesis expounds from basic theory to analyzing the concept of Red Scenic Area Landscape for later stage. Qing Lian Waterfront Area, which we design this time, is as a complex landscape area mainly by waterscape transformation with being one of the Red Scenic Area and serving main landscape architecture. During designing process, it found out lots of landscaping ways and waterscape types were related to fit the designed area, and explained the reason why we choice the topic of "Minxi Pretty River, The Source of Revolution" to add the Red element into landscape. During modern waterscape designing process, how to practice the theory in designing and transform nature water substance into recent watercape with harmony in environment which makes the feeling of comfortable and delighted is key points of this thesis. After combining series of theory and practice, we sum up the general thought of modern waterscape designing which using red scenic area’s design, and provide ideas of choosing theories in practice to red scenic landscapes architects.
