2015 China made 2025 of the plan, all walks of life on the power supply requirements are getting higher and higher, the power grid load is getting bigger and bigger and also smart substation work pressure is also growing. Under high load, the electrical equipment to produce the monitoring data will be grow more and more fast, especially in extreme weather data will surge, the traditional power equipment monitoring system has been unable to meet the demand. Need to develop a set to be able to deal with massive data of electric power of the new system.In view of the above problems. Firstly, this paper analyzes the data analyzing and processing of the Smart Substation Monitoring System of electrical equipment of defects, and briefly introduces a new operation mode-- cloud computing, advantages of combining with cloud computing, select the based on Hadoop cloud computing system of the smart substation monitoring equipment.Secondly, in the case of full use of resources, build a Windows system based on the Hadoop cluster, configuration and installation of the core distributed data system HDFS and MapReduce parallel programming processing system. Clustering analysis of insulator leakage current using Clara clstering algorithm; using C4.5 decision tree algorithm to analyze real-time monitoring data of SF6 circuit breaker.Finally, we use the Clara clustering algorithm and the C4.5 decision tree algorithm in the MapReduce distributed parallel model for function configuration and optimization, so that it can be run in the HDFS distributed file system environment. After the corresponding preparation work is done, the data is tested and verified, which verifies the efficiency and reliability of processing data based on Hadoop cloud computing platform, which can be applied in the monitoring of substation equipment.This article propose a Hadoop cloud computing system applied in Smart Substation equipment monitoring provides a new idea; this is in the era of big data monitoring and data processing of the smart grid do a beneficial attempt.
