There are often insufficient camber settings when culvert put to use in the practical engineering, occuring concave deformation, leding to water flow the culvert poorly, corroding the steel corrugated pipe, subgrade bearing capacity decreased, causing serious economic losses. With the improvement of highway’s grade and quality gradually, more and more corrugated pipe culverts structure has been used in the highway roadbed. Using the thin shell corrugated steel not only reduces the amount of steel, but in case of the foundation deformated, the corrugated steel pipe can be performing great performance fit for. Resolved many culvert and foundation amage troubles caused by the embankment deformation. It has a wide application prospect in the field of engineering. With the help of the field test of corrugated steel culvert on the highway in Yichun of Jiangxi Province, based on extensive field tests and engineering practice project. Combining domestic and foreign research on corrugated metal pipe culvert camber settings. Implementation rational numerical simulation calculation research. Focus on the problems of corrugated metal pipe culvert’s precamber setting’s calculation in the road engineering and analysis of the result. Combining the field experiment and numerical simulation research on precamber setting. Take advantage of the simulation calculating, summarise the law of the corrugated steel culvert camber setting. Upon completion of the field test results of the finite element simulation analysis of its results and conduct a comparative summary.Ensuring the rule that the summary of the conclusions which model calculated to match with the field test. By the field test and numerical calculation of finite element, indicating that in a certain scope, the embankment height, corrugated pipe shape and other things being equal. Precamber gradually decreased as the diameter of the culvert increasing. When the bankette height changes, and other conditions keeping consistent, precamber become increased gradually with the upper soil-filled height increase of culvert pipe. When the ripple changed, as the wave length and the wave height increases the camber setting will decreased gradually. Through the simulation analysis of field experiment indicating that the upper soil-filled on culvert pipe play more significant effects in culvert pipe precamber than culvert pipe diameter. This paper mainly research the rules of the steel corrugated culvert pipe diameter changed act on the camber setting, from the perspective of culvert diameter of the steel demonstrating the precamber settings of corrugated pipe culvert. Solving the issues that camber setting unreasonably affecting the culvert normal use and play a reference role in the actual construction process.
