Research On Evaluation System Of Slow Traffic In Kunming

Slow traffic is very important in people’s daily life and also one vital part in urban transport system. It has been overlooked in the past of years because of the first place of motorized transport in fast city development. Nevertheless, with the emergence of the concept of sustainable development and low carbon environmental protection, more and more cities add or prepare the special slow traffic planning in the city overall planning as the superiority of the slow traffic get more and more attention.It is crucial to evaluate scientifically at an early stage of planning implementation and then to guide better development of slow traffic as our hope.This paper constructs this research from the perspective of slow traffic evaluation system through studying slow traffic theory and practice achievements of both at home and abroad. Firstly, the paper studies the current slow traffic situation in Kunming, and then analyzes the reasons, refers to the relevant standards, literatures and the slow traffic status in Kunming. It selects the initial evaluation indicators from the human dimension and classifies these indexes into four aspects of street space factors, slow traffic facilities, slow environment, slow safety by using Delphi method and SPSS software, which can filter effecting slow traffic evaluation intexes. Secondly, it uses the analytic hierarchy process (ahp) to determine index weight, gets access to relevant standards and literature and consults experts and scholars to determine the evaluation criteria, then finally establishs kunming slow traffic evaluation system.This article chooses yuantong north road, qingnian road, xunjin street, which are in the center of kunming city, as research examples and evaluate these three sections by using the established slow traffic system. The results show that both yuantong north road and xunjin street are relatively poor, qingnian road is average. Finally, this paper puts forward optimized suggestions of slow traffic in Kunming through comparing and analyzing evaluation results of these three sections.
