The domestic and foreign experts and scholars pay more and more attention to the study of improve the seismic performance of bridge structure, Among them, the seismic isolation technology is a very effective way to improve the seismic performance of the structure, Add damper in bridge structure, such as damping device of energy consumption is considered to be a new, safe, economic and effective method of reducing vibration isolation. Because the damper own safety performance is good, convenient construction, low cost, low pollution to the environment, and the damping effect is good wait for an advantage, It approved by experts and scholars of all countries, in structure seismic performance has very broad prospects for development.In this paper, first of all, the internal structure of viscous dampers, working principle and mechanics calculation model are introduced and deduced, the theoretical knowledge of the dynamic analysis of the bridge structure under seismic response is briefly;the second is set in a highway bridge in Yunnan province, Using the large finite element software MIDAS CIVIL to its finite element model is established, the nonlinear dynamic time history analysis is carried out, and the following work is done.1. The development and research status of bridge seismic isolation at home and abroad are introduced in this paper, the working principle of viscous dampers is described, the calculation method of bridge structure2. with viscous dampers is presented.3. Background with a continuous girder bridge as an engineering example, introduced the use of large finite element software MIDAS CIVIL modeling process, and the natural vibration characteristics of computing.4. The design scheme of viscous dampers is studied, Using nonlinear dynamic time history analysis method, the finite element model is compared and analyzed, Research parameters of viscous dampers and the installation location of structure seismic performance influence, and studies the optimum design scheme.
