Currently, the power supply in China is mainly thermal power generation, steam coals that thermal power stations fueled with each year are over 40% of total coals used by the whole nation. Thermal Power Units of Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler can use inferior coals produced in the process of coal mining and washing as fuel, which is in favor of improving mine’s environmental pollution and realizing comprehensive utilization of resources.But the energy consumption and costs of operation and maintenance is higher comparing with the thermal power units of coal-powder boiler with the same capacity, it’s obviously lack of competitiveness in the field of energy trading markets. Based on this, it will have significant implications for circulating fluidized bed boiler enterprises to increase their economic benefits by studying how to lower the power consumption rate of thermal power units effectively.Combined with a series of energy saving reform examples carried out by Lingzhou Power Grid implemented to their power units system for 2×135MW Thermal Power Units of Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler, the text introduces the energy consumption analysis, feasibility study, determination of transformation scheme and evaluation of transformation effectiveness of the power saving reforms in primary air fan, condensate removal pump, water circulating pump and electrostatic precipitator at great length. Through the project implementation, the expected aims of technical reforms has been achieved, the power consumption rate of the station has been lowered over 0.4% and the auxiliary engine power saving effect has also been improved over 25%, increasing 1,500,000RMB for enterprise each year.The frequency conversion, Two speed and the high-frequency ESP retrofit of Auxiliary Equipment of Power Plant in Lingzhou grid introduced in this text, realized the power saving innovation in auxiliary equipment. Especially the retrofit of double speed cyclic water pump has not been applied much in the same model of thermal power units. The power saving effectiveness is much more obvious if used in north areas with a wide range of temperature in four seasons.The study, project implementation and example of this thesis will have certain implication for the industry of circulating fluidized bed boiler thermal power to reduce power consumption rate and raise economical benefit.
