With the further development of electric power environmental protection technology andthe world focus on atmospheric environment, smoke and dust emissions from coal-firedpower plants specified concentration of China began to implement this year’s GB13223-2011"thermal power plant air pollutant emission standards" in the strict limit has beenreduced to30mg/m3, which brings the challenge to the ESP is widely used in our country coalin the power plant. On the other hand, in the face of increasingly urgent international anddomestic carbon emission reduction pressure, reduce the energy consumption in the industrialproduction process is considered to be the most fundamental way, production processes needto fully develop and utilize all has the potential to achieve energy-saving emission reduction.The successful development and application of electric precipitator high frequency powersupply is of great significance for our country to implement energy-saving emissionreduction.In order to establish a high voltage DC electric field in the two positive and negativeelectrodes of electrostatic precipitator, high voltage DC power supply. High voltage powersupply is in the core part of the electrostatic precipitator, the power supply mode, has animportant influence on dust removal efficiency and operation stability of the electrostaticprecipitator. Power supply power supply for electrostatic precipitator has many kinds, highvoltage DC power supply traditional often uses the thyristor phase control rectifier power;phase control rectifier power supply basis in controlling or circuit is improved on the thyristor,the intermittent power supply or pulse power supply; for in the electric dust removalefficiency and the power of is greatly improved, the industry more and more use of powersupply of high frequency switching power supply.This paper mainly introduces the first analysis of the working principle of electrostaticprecipitator, then, analyses the operating principle of electrostatic precipitator of traditionalpower and high frequency power source, and their respective advantages and disadvantages,and through the Hengyun Power Plant electric dust collector used in verification of itseconomic benefits.
