Transmission is one of the most important components of the automobile transmission system except of Main Reducer. Transmission gears and gear shaft are core parts of Automobile Transmission. Thus transmission gears and gear shaft’s thermal assembling process is an important tache in the transmission’s assembling process, whose quality decides the quality of the whole assembling process which affects the performance of the car eventually. Moreover, it has effect on the tact. Accordingly, the simulation and experimental research of the thermal assembling process has great significance.First, the theory formula of the magnitude of interference of the Gears and Gear Shaft’s thermal assembling process was deduced, which determines the temperature range which is the core parameter of thermal assembling process. Then the paper introduced resistance heating mode and inductive heating mode. Moreover, the paper compared the pros and cons of the two modes. Finally according to the project requirements, the inductive heating mode was chosen.And then this paper describes the pressing process requirements of the thermal assembling process of Transmission Shaft System. Moreover, common pressing methods in the assembly and test of automobile transmission and test process were introduced. According to the process requirements and the simulation results, pneumatic pressing mode and cylinder model were chosen. Both the analytic theory and the finite element method were used to guide the design of actual load.The theory formula of the press-mounting force was deduced. The linear relationships between press-mounting force and displacement, press-mounting force and magnitude of interference, press-mounting force and shape-eigenvalue were obtained. This paper conducted finite element analysis by means of ANSYS to simulate the linear relationships. The result can be used to guide the design of cylinder selection.At last, this paper conducted thermo-structural coupling finite element analysis by means of FLUENT to the pressing problem. Moreover, the root cause had been found. And the problem was solved by means of using cooling line.
