Research On Control Strategy And Bench Test Of Automobile EPS System

Electric power steering system (Electric Power Steering System, referred to as EPS) is a new power steering system that can effectively improve vehicle safety, the steering stability and driving comfort. EPS can realize the power adjustment and energy saving and environmental protection, in the trend of reducing the use of fuel in the car, the technology has become the inevitable development of vehicle steering system.In this paper, the mathematical model of the system is established based on the simplified structure model of automobile EPS system. To energy consumption and motor target power current and the actual power current between the minimum difference as the goal, the control strategy of the research, in the MATLAB software build the model simulation and analysis are carried out, and the feasibility is verified by bench test research of control strategy.Firstly, the mathematical model of the structure model of EPS system is established, and according to the light of the steering and the road feeling and other requirements, designed to fit the curve. Then the stability of the EPS system is verified by the Bode diagram of the EPS system. It can be known that the system is stable in the linear power assist characteristic.Secondly, in the MATLAB/SIMULINK to establish the EPS system components and control strategies of the model, the control strategy simulation analysis, to verify the effectiveness of the EPS system control. Then the EPS system controller hardware and software design, this controller to the main control chip dsPIC30F6010A as the platform for data processing and computing.Finally, on the electric power steering test bench, EPS system startup and load, control strategy feasibility and function characteristics of the test, further verify the control strategy of EPS control system the feasibility and rationality of the design of hardware and software.
