In present, mostly adopts the traditional material HMA for the asphalt pavement in road construction.With the increasing of environment awarencess,the green road concept has been in popular.The hazard of HMA to the environment appeared gradually.Thus,the warm mix asphalt attracted the attention of people.The technology of Warm mix asphalt bring the advantages and lots of problems at the same time.Such as the choice of warm mix addition, the determine of the mixing and compaction temperature of warm mix asphalt,the determine of the optimum asphalt content of warm mix asphalt. In order to promote the application of Warm mix asphalt technology in China,need further research on these problms.This paper in allusion to the disadvantage of viscosity-temperature curve method,takes the volume properties and workability properties of asphalt mixture as the starting point,put forward a new methord.At the same time,in order to deterim the workability of asphalt mixture reasonable and accurately,independent developing the workability device.This paper put forward a Wheel Rolling Mix Design Method,this method overcome the disadvantage of Marshall mix design method.The Wheel Rolling Mix Design Method using the Wheel Rolling to forming asphalt mixture sample,which makes up for the weakness of Marshall Compacte device.This paper compare the pavement performance of HMA and WMA.It turned out that the Aspha-Min has the negative impacts on anti-rutting performance and water stability of asphalt mixture,the Sasobit has the negative impacts on cryogenic property,the DAT has the negative impacts on anti-rutting performance and water stability of asphalt mixture.Lastly,based on the asphalt pavement climate zone and the performance of WMA, given the warming mix addition using zone.
