Household Electric Car Body Appearance Modelling Design Research

With the development of China’s Automotive careers and the improvement of social economy, China has become a real sense of automobile production and consumption country, behind the amount of this growth, energy crisis, the harm of air pollution,greenhouse effect and a series of the traffic problem are increasingly outstanding, thus causing threat to people’s living environment. As a new generation of vehicles, electric vehicles has a conventional car incomparable advantages in the energy conservation and emissions reduction. It also reduces human’s reliance on traditional fossil energy. Research electric automobile body modelling and technology has an important contribution to the popularization of the electric car.The main object of this study is household electric automobile appearance modelling,according to this route-find problems, analyze problems, solve problems, and with the core idea "Function Decide Model" researched the household electric automobile appearance modelling. Firstly, researched the history of electric automobile appearance modelling, on this base, analyzed its main appearance modelling history of development,and then find out the household electric automobile appearance modelling design problems and deficiencies through a series of market research. Secondly enter in the stage of problem analysis, by comparing the electric car’s structure with traditional fuel vehicle,fully conclude the household electric automobile appearance modelling content in four aspects-front, side, back and the top, and also analyzed the main model’s details of electric vehicle. On the base of determining the household electric car body content, systemly analyzed the main influence factors of household electric automobile appearance modelling from three aspects-human being, object, environment, and put forward some principles about household electric automobile modeling design. Finally went into the stage of problem-solving, combining with the content and the analysis of the influence factors above, made a new style of design. New plan fully considers the various influence factors on the exterior modelling, redesigned the car appearance’s some details, greatly enriched its design language. In the design, used Autodesk Alias for 3d modeling,Keyshot software to 3d rendering.
