With the high speed development of economy and the constant enlargement of the manufacturing industry, the role of hoisting machinery becomes more important in economic society. At present, the design and manufacture of most domestic bridge type crane bridge structure use the original design methods. In the past, designers relied on the experience of its original design. So it wastes material seriously and costs much in manufacturing and installation. Therefore, the lightweight of design for bridge crane bridge structure and the modification of bridge were more significant. This paper mainly includes the following aspects:Analysis of the overall stress of crane girder. I will establish its mathematical model which has used classical mechanics theory, also I will apply load and calculate the stiffness and intensity. In accordance with the crane design specifications I will analyze the data.Analysis of actual example overhead travelling crane which was made by an Company. According to the actual requirements and drawings, I use 3D software Solid works to make a 3D design of the girder structure, and I construct a three dimensional model. The finite element method analysis of the stiffness of girder structure, using the ANSYS software. Based on the result of the analysis, I redesign the main girder, which makes the obvious achievement of slowing down the main girder. It is meaningful for the improvement of the manufacture level of the crane. The modal analysis of crane girder. I try to calculate the main vibration type of low order and natural frequency of the girder. It is meaningful to overcome the resonance and design the peaceful crane equipment.
