In recent years, with the global energy crisis and environmental problems have become increasing serious, the renewable energy power generation has received great concern by many countries in the world. Wind power, due to its relatively mature technology, has been widely used, and its capacity are enlarging year by year. Large-scale wind power integration into grid increases the difficulty for power balance and peak load regulation, which seriously threat the safe and stable operation of the system. The energy storage power with the characteristics of rapid response, charge and discharge helps to realizes the balance of power and energy in a variety of situation, which is important for improving the security, reliable and economic operation of grid and the efficiency of wind power.Combined with the typical wind power output curve in different time scale, this paper analyses the characteristics of the wind power output, and proposes the method of mutil-time scale modeling of the wind power output based on wavelet transform theory. The wind power component in different time scale can be obtained by the wavelet transform theory, and carries on the analysis of the characteristics of wind power component. Combining the operation characteristics of several kinds of typical energy storage power, this paper proposes the way of optimal allocation of energy storage power in large-scale wind power connected into grid system.This paper proposes the optimization operation scheme of energy storage capacity for making up for wind power prediction error under the electric market, which considering the load characteristics and the power adjustment ability of conventional generators in the grid system wind power, and the energy storage power operate coordinated with conventional generators, giving the priority to the redundancy capacity of conventional generators to compensate for wind power prediction error. Proposes a method to calculate the cost of energy storage reserve under the electric market environment, and establishes the energy storage optimization model at the goal of minimum total cost of the system that considering energy storage reserve cost. The model was proved to be rational by an example.According to the wind power output characteristics, using well-being theory to classify the peak regulation capacity demand scene of the grid system with wind power, and using KD scene reduction technology to cut the peaking regulation capacity demand scene. On this basis,establishes the model of peak regulation capacity demand in grid system wind power.Considering the cost of energy storage reserve, and using the calculation method of energy storage reserve cost proposed in this paper, this paper establishes the energy storage capacity optimization model at the goal of the maximum net income that the energy storage power brings to the grid system. The method proposed was proved to be feasible by an example.
