Adaptive Front-lighting System, or AFS in short, can automatically change the light type and adjust the irradiation area according to the vehicle status and the driving environment which improves the lighting conditions of the road ahead and enhances safety and comfort driving at night. Currently it is one of the key areas of road traffic safety and active vehicle safety. Referring to the existing AFS, that is the dynamic angle error of headlamp leading to the safe problem that light type of dynamic light distribution of AFS can’t meet the regulatory requirements, then the photoelectric compensation technology based on angel error of headlamp is studied.First of all, the research status of AFS headlamp technology at domestic and overseas is introduced from the angle error and control method of AFS, and the shortcomings of the research status on the present is set out. Then, make Toyota Previa as an object, the reason of the angle error existing and the representation is studied from stepper motor, moment of inertia of the headlamp, the gear clearance of transmission mechanismand and the driving conditions of the vehicle(speed,yaw). Then, the road light type and illuminance distribution of dynamic angel error is studied from angle lag of headlamp on the basis of GB25991-2010.Then, the method of photoelectric compensation based on the angle error of headlamp is proposed. The principle widen and compensation of light is studied, and the modular of widen light and the control strategy is designed. And the light system of AFS headlamp is designed in Tracepro and Lucidshape software, in addition, the method is simulated and analyzed in the condition of straight and curve driving. Next, the method of elimination of gear clearance and angle compensation control method based on fuzzy theory is studied, then the control system of AFS that include hardware and software part is designed. In addition, the control system simulation model of AFS is designed through Adams and Matlab/Simulink software and the result of simulation is analysised. In order to verify the feasibility of the photoelectric compensation technology, the control system experiment platforms base on the photoelectric compensation technology is established, then, the expriment of the method of widen and compensation of light and the experiment of angle compensation control is carried out separately.
