And it also expatiates clearly the practical use of B-spline in the design of headlamp reflectors, the design of free form reflector can be finished by using the light distribution measures, according to the National Light Distribution Standard. This article makes the original system of free form reflector's assistant design and analysis in the VB 6.0 environment. In addition, segmented reflector lamp is the popular in car lamp field, in order to meet the car lamp corporation, realizing the segmented reflector model by write macro base on the LightTools flat. The free form is the development direction in car lamp field, at Same time, the segmented reflector is the most popular car lamp,so, the research in paper is much meaning for development in car lamp field.The design method of the automobile headlamp is very sophisticated, and the design measures and thinking discussed before is just used to make useful exploration and make solid basement for the further research.
