This paper is under the topic of University Library in low energy consumption, from the quantitative perspective of university library reading space in the daylight environment.Studying on the architectural design factors to affect reading space in the daylighting environment. On this basis, through field research and computer simulation and on the actual case of proposed strategies for improving the appropriate daylighting environment.People on the outside environment acquisition is about 80% comes from the eyes, light is the medium of communication between eyes and the environment, although in the artificial light source is very popular today, natural resources in the daylighting is still necessity in people’s life, reflect the aesthetic value of architectural design. Daylighting environment can improve work efficiency and vision health, reduce the using of artificial lighting, reduce lighting energy consumption. Therefore, the research of library reading room daylighting environment and evaluating and analying it is very necessary.This paper is mainly divided into three parts.The first part includes the first chapter and the second chapter.It is the basis for the study of this paper, the first chapter introduced research background, meaning and purpose, clearing the research scope and the domestic and foreign research status about reading space in the daylighting environment, put forward the research methods and the research framework of this article. The second chapter from the basic knowledge of daylighting in building of narrative at home and abroad about University Library of daylighting environment in the specification and evaluation criteria, to confirm the reading space light environment evaluation index. Then introduce the daylighting environment of computer simulation method and confirm the following studies using related software.The second part consists of third chapters, the fourth chapter and the fifth chapter, which is the main research content of this paper. The third chapter analyzes the types and characteristics of the reading space of university library, and establishes the model of typical reading space. Using Daysim and Radiance Desktop to analyze the architectural design factors that affect the indoor daylighting environment, the influence of different design factors on the indoor daylighting environment is obtained. In the fourth chapter, measuring the daylighting environment of reading space is, and the evaluation and analysis are carried out. In the fifth chapter, using related softwares to carry out the annual dynamic light environment simulation, the typical day static light environment simulation and the glare analysis of the four reading space of Nanjing Institute of Technology library.By comparing the experimental results with the simulation results, the objective evaluation of the daylighting environment of the university library reading space is obtained. Finally, combined with the conclusion of the third chapter, the light environment improvement strategy of these four reading space is put forward.The third part is the conclusion of the full text of the summary, as well as the shortcomings of this paper and the future research prospects.
