Water chamber head in nuclear pressure vessel is the key core component of nuclear device. Water chamber head usually bear high temperature, pressure and radiation in working status. Therefore, there have strict standard and technical requirements for design, manufacture and quality control of water chamber head. This type of part has the characteristics of long production cycle, complex structures, difficult machining and high quality requirement. With the development of technology of nuclear power equipment, new requirement for accurate and high efficiency machining device is presented.On the basis of existing research, an appropriative tilting-type turnover table is developed in terms of manufacture of water chamber head. This table could satisfy the requirement of large size, large tonnage, high accuracy and lot sizing processing of nuclear power water chamber head by cooperating floor type boring and milling machine. It could improve the technology of Chinese nuclear power equipment and promote the development and application of Chinese nuclear power equipment.The following aspects are mainly studied in this research.On the basis of analysis of water chamber head, processing technology of water chamber head by using tilting-type turnover table is formulated in order to improve the machining efficiency. In the third generation of nuclear power head as the research object, the main technical parameters and a variety of structures of tiltingtype turnover table are determined. The advantages and disadvantages of various structures of tilting-type turnover table are analyzed, and then the specific structure, drive and assembly unit of tilting-type turnover table are designed.Key parts of water chamber head which impact the assembly accuracy and function of the whole machine are determined, and processing technology of these key parts are researched. The technology strategies which could ensure the assembly accuracy are proposed, precision analysis and calibration is presented to solve the deviation problem.Based on the optimized configuration, the problem of motor torque increases sharply with increased angle is solved, heavy motor torque and non-self-locking mechanical structure are avoided. Configuration mode of servo motor is optimized by adopting the plan of multiple servo motor drive. The life of the equipment is extended by using static pressure support technology.Through the above research work, the whole machine design, manufacture and measurement of tilting-type turnover table are completed. Problems of this table in the evaluation process are analyzed, and strategies to solve these problems are presented.
