Under the global climate change, the negative impact of the deterioration of urban climate, and people pursue healthy and comfortable environment, the increasingly prominent contradiction between associated with urban environmental problems continuously emerging, such as poor ventilation, and air pollution, frequent fog weather, abnormal weather change, vegetation decreasing, the urban heat island effect, and so on. City square is high density urban open space in one of the most basic type of space, its effect on urban microclimate environment has directly. At present, the advancement of China’s urbanization caused urban thermal conductivity increase, reduce urban problems such as frequent fog weather, vegetation, and good quality of urban public space thermal environment is the premise of ensure the quality of urban environment and urban. The city square to guide the city square design and construction, improve the quality of human settlement environment has important significance. At present, there are a lot of research at home and abroad, to analyze the characteristics of climatic phenomena on the built environment evaluation, based on the theory of design practice, strong operability and method cannot be widely used. Colleagues, facing the complex and changeable climate type in our country, the same is applicable theories and methods can’t. Due to xian in the dry and cold climate zone, urgent need through field measurement correction for regional and seasonal variation of microclimate adaptability theory and method of instruction. According to the above problem, based on the city square space as the research object, city square microclimate factors as the research content, respectively, using the theory research, experiment research, this paper analyzes and discusses the quantitative research methods.First of all, this article from climate basic concept, concept of city square, microclimate factors impact on the city square space three aspects through theoretical analysis and the summary, set up the city square space theory of microclimate factors influence mechanism. And finishing the xi’an outdoor environment conditions and human comfort index months throughout the year and not comfortable, as the regulating target of xi’an city of outdoor thermal environment.Second, this article selects of xi’an typical urban public space pagoda north square as measured sample area, the quantitative analysis under the condition of different space forms, city square in the air temperature, surface temperature, relative humidity, solar radiation and wind speed and direction of the elements of the microclimate change law of xian city square microclimate factors to summary analysis the impact on the city square, preliminary xian city square microclimate characteristics. Finally, this paper takes xi’an wild goose pagoda north square microclimate effect measured results analysis of the combination of the subjective questionnaire, with the user to unrael the xi’an urban public space thermal environment investigation and study, from three factors, climate, physical, psychological, comprehensive analysis of consumer preference for thermal comfort of xi’an pagoda north square to choose, and the derivation of the coordination of planning and design methods for duty summer two season, trying to come up with the square space from perspective of climate suitability suitability design method and standard process. In this paper, which laid a foundation for prediction and evaluation of urban microclimate environment, provides the data support and theoretical basis. In order to optimize the square design to improve the urban microclimate provides feasibility, can be used as city square climatic design theory, the feasibility of reference.
