The survey inclines the consequence of local investigation and test that the Huizhou residence recently cannot fit people’s demand of thermal comfort, and causes amount of energy wasted under people’s habit of using air conditioner partially and intermittently both in winter and summer, and the problem in winter is more serious. The researching target is saving more than 50% air conditioner energy using of modern Huizhou residences by adjusting buildings’ shape and building envelope’s thermal property.Through comparison of several projects like natural ventilation and natural light, picking the modern Huizhou residence designed by Shan Deqi’s crew in Tsinghua University as prototype, using Design Builder simulate its HVAC energy consumption and heating and cooling load’s distribution under residences’ using habit, and compare with the situation under partial and consistent energy using method. Simulate each room’s air temperature both in average and dynamic. Using theories of heat transfer do the analysis, find that the light materials which has insulated character have benefits to resist the heat disturbance under intermittent energy using method, and the heat flow through inner wall and floors accounting more than that through outer wall.Following related items in “GB50176-93 Thermal design code for civil building”, redesign the outer surround construction of the project and simulate the HVAC energy consumption in the same condition, find that the measure can only bring the energy-saving rate to 32.8%. Following related items in “JGJ134-2010 Design standard for energy efficiency of residential buildings in hot summer and cold winter zone”, set heat insulation measures for the inner walls and floors. The consequence of simulation proves that the inner and outer envelops thermal insulation are both necessary for the energy saving projection under partial and intermittent energy using method. Partial thermal prevention can save HVAC electrical energy 36.1%-36.4% and save amount of insulated materials at the same time. Based on partial insolated construction, developing compounded insolated construction can help improve energy-saving rate above to 50%(finished at 52.8% in the survey), still using normal materials and structures like EPS panels, aerated concrete blocks and air space.
