Abstract/Summary:
Regional passenger corridor occupies an very important position in the comprehensive transportation system in China. It mainly has two kinds of travel modes which are road and railway passenger transport. Along the corridor are almost central cities and small-medium cities and developed towns. With the continuous improvement of economy and people’s living standard, passengers’ travel volume demands grow fast, which has bring great transportation pressure to the regional passenger corridor. As a new passenger traffic mode, the high speed railway is so fast that has profoundly changed passenger transportation market of the corridor.In addition, the market advangtage of the road passenger transport comes to end. However, it is not defeated by the emerging high speed railway, but its inherent service. The article believes the road and high-speed railway passenger transport have both copetition and cooperation. In the future of the corridor, high-speed railway will be “aorta” and raodway will be “capillary”. Studing on the effect of high-speed railway to road passenger transport reasonably is conductive to the the coordinated development of different means of passenger transports in the regional passenger passenger corridor. The article’s mainwork includes:1. On the basis of passenger corridor theory, summing up the concept 、 constitument elments and the development of the regional passenger corridor. After that, comparing the technical characteristics and the way of operating between the road and high-speed railway passenger transport. At the same time, introducing some typical regional pasenger corridorin our country.2. It analyzes the factors which affect passenger travel mode choices, building the road and high-speed raiway’s traffic sharing rates model in the regional passenger corridor on the theoretical basis of disaggregate model. Taking the Xihan corridor as example, making prediction about passenger volume、Induced increment in traffic and traffic share ratio of 2018.The cases studies show that the influence on the road passenger transport is very great.3. Establishing the road passenger transport market share advantage and passenger business operations to maximize revenue sharing model on the basis of passenger flow rate model. Taking the Xihan corridor as example, using matlab to solve the model and optimizing the fares and transport distance of road passenger transport.4. Finally, combining the earlier reaserch, locating highway’s new function and advantages. The thesis point although the introduction of high-speed railway end the road’s absolute market advantage, there is still plenty of room for development. There are both competition and cooperation between road and high-speed railway passenger transport. Themeasures to deal with high-speed railway include three aspects: the highway passenger transport enterprises, passenger transport industry and the government.
