Yao Liu secondary roads bear the transportation among Yaoxian hinterland, Yintai district, and west of Yijun County Industrial and mining enterprises and village, and with related area of Xianyang City in the north and the east of Gansu Province. It constitutes the Tongchuan City “φ” shaped road network in the main framework with 210 National Highway(Baotou to Nanning) and 305 provincial highway(Han Jing to Zhengning) together, connects the wide area of the middle and western regions of the city and the deep area of the township and the mining area, it has a very important role on the development of social economy in Tongchuan city.Firstly the influence of the project on the comprehensive transportation network status are presented in this paper through the analysis of the existing highway technology status and fitness, it reflects the role of the proposed project in the road network, in response to the Tongchuan municipal transportation planning and development direction of the call. Then it introduces the regional geological structure and seismic, stratigraphic lithology, meteorology, hydrology and main engineering geological problems of the project. In combine with the actual project, listened carefully to the owners and experts’ opinions, fully implement the Ministry of transportation of Highway Survey and design on the basis of the new concept, based on fault line selection principle and the characteristic of the project, through on site topography, geomorphology, geological detailed reconnaissance, repeated on each corridor and scheme comparison and selection, finally puts forward three route plans to undertake the line changing.In the preliminary design stage through the expert group analysis, the route and control point were made clear, and based on the comprehensive consideration of technical indicators, traffic organization, engineering geology, environmental impact, the difficulty of construction and engineering cost, compared two section line schemes among Jiulipo to Wanli period and Shichuan River Bridge and determined the recommended scheme of line changing project of plane curves. At last, the design of subgrade, pavement and drainage, bridge, culvert, route crossing, safety facilities and environmental protection are designed according to the recommended scheme.
