With the development of society, more and more people will go to work or go shopping byrailway transit, so urban railway transit plays an more important role in urban traffic systems.Energy conservation and mitigating traffic congestion, both of it are the advantage of thedevelopment of rail transport in cities. In the Urban railway transit network, excellent designof interchange station has a very important role in joining in lines smoothly and improving theefficiency of the transfer of passengers. So, this paper aims to establish extension multileveloptimal evaluation model for railway transit interchange station to choose the best designscheme. So it can provide references for the planning and design of future urban railwaytransit interchange station.This paper describes and summarizes relevant research about evaluation of railway transitinterchange station at home and abroad, and describes the Basic theoretical knowledge ofrailway transit interchange station and Extension multilevel optimal evaluation theory. Theyinclude comprehensiveness, uniformity, independence, hierarchy, Combination of quantitativeand qualitative, comparability, practicability and so on. And the comprehensive designingscheme evaluation index system of urban railway transit interchange station includes fivekinds of index: transfer efficiency in the railway transit station, the coordination of layout,safety, feasibility, convenience of park-and-ride and transferring to bus.The calculation of evaluation index system for railway transit interchange station has beenimproved according to the evaluation index system above. Average area indices of transferequipment is the smallest value that come from all platforms about the railway transitinterchange station. It can ensure that the passengers not too crowded in all platforms in thebest choose. The External unified coordination reflects the integration of railway transitinterchange station and the building around the station. So it can use of the limited land ofurban efficiently, and raise the service level of railway transit interchange station. Evacuationtime indices is the minimum evacuation time of the all platform, that can make decisionmakers incline to consider the designing scheme with the minimum evacuation time in theevaluation. At the same time, the grading range of each index has been presented. At the last,the paper calculate the each evaluation index of the first designing scheme and the second oneof Caochangmen railway transit interchange station, that is located the intersection of railwayline4and railway line7. Then, the paper evaluates the first designing scheme and the secondone of the railway transit interchange station in extension multilevel optimal evaluationmethods. And the index weight of evaluation model has been calculated by using Simplecorrelation function and Similarity coefficient method. Then, the evaluation results show that the second designing scheme is better than the first one, and it is in accordance with the finalselection. So the extension multilevel evaluation method has good application value forevaluating and selecting the designing scheme of rail transit transfer station.
