Tibet Autonomous Region located in the southwest of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, The area covers about one-eighth of the nation’s total, local traffic mainly lies in the highway with total mileage of more than 70000 kilometers. Due to the complexity of Tibet region special climate effect, make the asphalt pavement suffered serious cracks influence, Cause the loss of asphalt pavement performance and service level, Increase the highway maintenance costs. Therefore, the study of disease prevention and control measures of cracks in asphalt pavement has become the key problem of the current traffic problem in Tibet;Actively carry out relevant research, provide technical guidance for the construction and maintenance of asphalt pavement in Tibet Region, it has great significance, and it seems particularly urgent.The thesis focuses on the influence of asphalt pavement crack diseases on pavement performance and service level in Tibet area and the prevention and treatment of crack diseases. The asphalt pavement damage and classification of crack diseases are described, then introduces the present situation of asphalt pavement in Tibet. Through the investigation of asphalt pavement crack diseases in Qinghai Tibet highway, Sichuan Tibet highway, Shannan area, describes the asphalt pavement’s damage and classifies these disease in Tibet area, and studied the special products and failure mechanism of asphalt pavement cracks in Tibet area. According to the characteristics of the climate environment in Tibet, the repairing principle of asphalt pavement cracks, maintenance measures and repairing construction technology are studied. Finally in combination with the practical treatment of asphalt pavement cracks in Tibetan area, the effectiveness of processing measures in pavement crack diseases is illustrated, and countermeasures of asphalt pavement crack disease is discussed in Tibetan areas as well.
