Abstract/Summary:
As an important part of the hydraulic structures in hydropower plants, sluice gates are usually built into the chokes of the water conveyance structures, such as intake and outlet points. In order to realize their functions and benefits to maintain the security of the building, the sluice gates should be opened and closed flexibly and reliably. With the increasing scarcity of water resources, and the promotion of the information technology used in the hydropower automatic industry, as sluice gate monitoring and control system is also receiving increasing attention. Requirements are also increasing in the control requirements, control precision and control performance.Based on NC2000, the hydropower computer monitoring and control system platform produced by Nanjing NARI Group Corporation, this thesis has provided a overall solution of the sluice gate monitoring and control system which has successful implemented in Majitang hydropower plant of Hunan Province. It’s integrated based on the characteristics of sluice gates in the design of hardware. The software of the system is further developed on the basis of the existing platform. It is not only to meet the common needs of data collection, data processing, simply directed control functions, but also have gate-selected control function, water flow statistics, group control function and the others combined with the local situation.In terms of gate-selected controlled and group controlled functions, on the one hand, control mode is upgraded from the single gate controlled function to the mode that the specified gates or the specified group gates can be controlled at one time and issue instructions to Local Control System according to users’ habits. On the other hand, according to the total discharge, water level of upstream and downstream and users’ control strategies, the discharged flow is automatically issued to LCU, which is calculated by AGC module of NC2000 platform through mathematical modeling and referred to the active power of hydraulic turbine control function. In terms of water flow statistics, the flow statement and trends are calculated automatically from the gate opening and the water levels of the upstream and downstream which sent from the LCU.
