Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope (DPO) is the third generation of oscilloscope, which combines the adventages of the previous two genertations:Anlog Real-Time Oscilloscope (ART) and Digtal Storage Oscilloscope (DSO). DPO has not only the features of high waveform capture rate and phosphor display effects with brightness changing gradually just like ART, but also the functions of waveform storagment & analysis and advanced trigger like DSO.This dissertation discusses the sub-project of a Digital Phosphor Oscilloscope project; it completes the design and implementation of high-speed data acquisition module, fluorescent display module and command&data transmission interface module in FPGA on the basis of designed overall system architecture. High-speed data acquisition module completes data acquisition control and data storage, it is the basis of other functional modules of the oscilloscope; fluorescent display module converts acquired data into waveform imge and it’s a core compment of DPO; command&data transmission interface module takes charge of the communications between IPC software and acquisition board.The first part of the dissertation describes the characteristics of DPO, research background and significance of this paper. The second part discusses the overall system architecture and the problem of choosing FPGA. The third part focus on the data acquisition module, including the design, implementation and verification of high speed data receiving and underclocking module, four different capture mode and SRAM control module. The fourth part discribes the overall structure of fluorescent display module, and introduces the implementation and verification of it’s sub-modules.The fifth part includes the design and implementation of command&data transmission interface.The last part summarizes the work finished and proposes the furture work direction.The DPO including the modules implemented in this dissertation has passed acceptance, it is proved that the design can meet the predetermined technical target well.
