Large engineering transportation vehicles are mainly referring to large hydraulic trucks, which have not only big rated load but also big masses and sizes. They are special vehicles with electro-hydraulic driving, steering and lifting functions, which have characteristics of flexibility, high stability and high passability etc and have been widely used in high-speed rail construction, shipbuilding industry, highway bridge, marine engineering, petrochemical, metallurgical engineering, aerospace, military industry, large equipment logistics and other fields and have become the essential equipment in new construction implementation and large equipment transportation in every field. Common large hydraulic trucks include selfpropelled hydraulic flatbed truck, beam carrier, beam hoister, slag pot carrier, frame car, hot metal ladle car, self-propelled modular vehicle and modular trailer etc. With continuous improvement of manufacturing process and assembly level in each field, equipment monomer continuously develops to the directions of super long, super high and overweight and single truck can’t meets the requirements already. There is dramatic increase in the usages of joint operation(parallel operation) of large hydraulic trucks, which is playing a more and more important role nowadays. With the development of large-scale engineering equipment, single hydraulic truck can’t meet the transportation requirement any more; therefore it needs joint operation of several hydraulic trucks together to reach the transportation purpose.Life prediction of large hydraulic trucks and reliability growth technology are important contents in the process of systems engineering design, which have essential significance in the reliable operation and performance improvement of systems engineering. In this kind of system, there are usually numerous of same or similar subsystems and all the subsystems are facing to a same complex load. Therefore, we propose concept of group system; make reliability research on hydraulic system group with single hydraulic load and system group with joint operation; realize reliability growth demand of system group by analyzing reliability growth planning of subsystem; establish integrated assessment model of system group reliability growth and achieve the life prediction and correction of system group.This article mainly makes research on definition and recognition of group system,group system application of single hydraulic truck,group system application in joint operation of large hydraulic truck,reliability growth theory of group system and life prediction.
