Cangzhou, located in the west bank of the Bohai sea, is the main point on the roads which connected Beijing, Tianjin and the northeast areas from the Eastern coastal areas. Therefore, the Construction of Highway is particularly important in Cangzhou area. But the soft soil issues along Cangzhou coastal area bring a tremendous adverse impact in design and construction. Since there is really lack of research specialized for engineering characteristics of soft soil along Cangzhou coastal area, the research on the engineering properties of soft soil in this area is extremely important.Relying on the project of coastal highway from Cangzhou Qikou to Haifeng section, we analyzed the engineering properties of soft soil along coastal Cangzhou in this paper. The main study included:(1)According to the field and laboratory tests of the project coastal highway from Qikou to Haifeng in Cangzhou city, such as Engineering Geology Survey report,drilling histograms, soil test tables, referring to the relevant literature and books, we studied the causes of the soft soil in the coastal area of Cangzhou. In this paper, we analyzed the distribution of the soft soil along Cangzhou coastal area, which provided geological information for the procession of the soft soil foundation.(2)In this paper, we processed the data of the soft soil foundation properties index which is gained from fieldwork test. We obtained the parameters of the soft soil foundation of Cangzhou coastal area by defining the parameter range of indicators and summarizing the distribution of physical, mechanical and other indicators. We establish the appropriate regression equation based on indicators of physical and mechanical properties according to mathematical statistics regression analysis theory.Analyzed the correlation, finally came to the relationship table between their correlations which is facilitated for reference in the actual project. And the relevant distance of soft soil foundation is discussed in this area.(3)Combined the structure of marine soft soil from the microscopic point of view,engineering characteristics and the comparative analysis marine clay of northern and southern part of our country, the properties of soft soil foundation is understudied deeply.This research on the soft soil foundation in Cangzhou coastal area provided important reference on construction in this area in the future, having strong regional,could be used in the actual projects.
