With the rapid growth of traffic, the vehicles feature a large and heavy-duty. In particular the events of overloading and overrunning happen frequently. The pavement quality has greatly damage, especially under the impact from the repeated action of trunk road load and traffic in heavy trunk highway. The pavement quality would maintained in good condition, only by using of the scientific method to continuously monitoring the quality of trunk highway and adapting the comprehensive plan to repair the road in time.The characteristics of trunk highway distribution in Beijing area would be summarized through the statistical analysis based on the actual survey and traffic data of trunk highway in Beijing area. In order to analyze the traffic composition effect to overhaul the pavement structure design finally, the analogous calculation of the pavement overhaul structure would be carried out by using BISAR program, and Pavement Structure Strength Index of asphalt pavement structure would be calculated under different axle load and different tire pressure. Through theoretical calculation and analysis, variation regulation would be inspected by researching milling around the original road surface deflection values and after milling pavement equivalent, which would provide the basic information for determining the scheme of overhaul of pavement structure. The characteristics and causes of disease of arterial highway in Beijing area, which could put forward the requirements for the development of overhaul scheme, would be summarized by the investigation of pavement technology condition, disease types and distribution characteristics of representative sections.Finally, on the basis of the above research, the impact factors influencing the determination of overhaul scheme would be provided. Combining with factors such as the Beijing trunk highway grade, the leading causes of disease and factor of traffic, the typical structure suitable for major repair of trunk highway of asphalt pavement would be offered. At the same time, through the summary and comparison of the waste materials recycling technology in road overhaul, further analysis of regeneration technology for trunk highway in Beijing area would be determined.
