Transportation is the most important part of modern society, and there are still many problems need to be solved. How to effectively solve the detection of high limit is the most important part of transportation safety. In currently method of detection, the artificial measurement and monitoring continues to dominate, lacking of active and effective real-time detection device. Therefore, accidents caused by over-high vehicles still happened frequently. In this paper, two sets of detection systems are proposed, which are different from the existing detection methods. The detection system of height limit in our paper using a line laser, provide a more complete accurate information about target.A detection system of height limit based on laser triangulation principle is proposed in this paper. Active light source of this system is an infrared line laser, and the light is received by a camera which is worked with a narrow band-pass filter which wavelength match with the laser source. According to the principle of laser triangulation, the experimental system has been designed, and the precision and range of ranging has been discussed. We deduced and corrected the formula of the system, made a correction for the camera, achieved the output of target height in the range of the laser diffusion angle.A detection system of height limit applicable to the ultra high target in far range, which is based on compression encoding imaging, is proposed in this paper. Hadamard encoding imaging will bring a higher signal to noise ratio in signal acquisition. We make a change on signal sampling according to compressive sensing theory, which is a popular research direction in the field of signal processing. Compression and sampling are carried out simultaneously in signal observing, and we reconstruct the original signal by those abserved value. We obtain the main information of the image while reduce the time period of encoding imaging in our work. In this paper, we demonstrated the various parts of the compression encoding imaging, designed the whole system, and achieved the imaging simulation experiment in different compression ratio.
