The power-shift steering transmission plays a vital role in armored vehicle chassis system, due to the reliability & maintainability are important factors of off-road mobility, working efficiency, battle applicability, operational readiness and life cycle cost of armored vehicles. The allocation method for the power-shift steering transmission on balance of reliability & maintainability index with the goal of availability was studied in this paper.Firstly, the key techniques of reliability & maintainability allocation method for mechatronics hydraulic system were studied. The reliability & maintainability index system were established, the constraints were chosen, the weights were evaluated, and the algorithms were optimized. The indexes and parameters of reliability & maintainability and availability of the power-shift steering transmission were determined. The proper weight evaluation method was selected through the comparative analysis on the consistency and uniformity of all scales.Secondly, based on the advantages of hierarchical distribution method and fuzzy distribution method, the fuzzy hierarchy allocation method was proposed. The determination of factor weight set, set of evaluation and the multilevel fuzzy evaluation were analyzed and improved in detail. To reduce adverse effects of allocation results caused by the decision-maker’s subjective factors, fuzzy information was quantified by triangular fuzzy number. A composite allocation method was created by FAHP combined with the new-old equipment allocation method and three maintainability allocation models were built.Finally, the model of on balance of reliability & maintainability allocation method for the power-shift steering transmission with the goal of availability was built. Based on improved fuzzy hierarchy and the new-old equipment reliability allocation combined allocation method, the model technical thinking was put forward with the optimized computation by improved genetic algorithm. The correctness of allocation result was verified by engineering practices.Viewpoints, theories and methods in the paper are of reference value to the research on the power-shift steering transmission reliability & maintainability index allocation in other industries.
