Study On The Design Of Outdoor Environment Based On The Concept Of Age-Friendly

With the increasingly serious aging trend of our country, introspecting the lack of social care services for the aged and actively responding to the aging of society had become the focus of academic and social concerns. However, our pension service lags far behind the level of economic and social development. As the basic unit of the city, community is the best place for the elderly living and the most important spatial assume social pension. The outdoor environment of community carries social interaction, recreation, social participation for the elderly. And the elderly is not only the group using the outdoor environment with highest frequency and longest, but also having the greatest degree of dependence, the deepest feelings.With the context of deepening contradictions between accelerating the aging of society and lack of pension service, improving community outdoor environment will be great significance to the establishment of aged-friendly society.As a new idea responsing actively to the aging society, this study will improve and enrich the idea, and combine the "aged-friendly" concept and research of community outdoor environment design, specifically from the theory implementation of the application. On the one hand to further improving the theoretical system of city pension services research, promoting a positive response in the community level, on the other hand making a useful discussion in the implementation of the application and design strategies theory level, providing some practical guidance for future urban community construction and renovation.This paper is divided into five chapters, which can be divided into three parts:The first part of the thesis will mainly comb literature review of the background paper, define the scope of the study, objects and concepts, and identify research objectives. By introspecting the lack of social care services for the aged under the background of an aging society, and deeply analyzing the status of pension service, to clear questions and purposes of this research. This section includes the first chapter of the article.The second part of the thesis is mainly relating theoretical research to sort out the analysis, as the theoretical basis for subsequent research. This part includs interpretating connotation of the "Age-Friendly" concept, and the relationship between extended features. Initially built concept system of "Age-Friendly", and further collecting and analyzing the concept of practical application in different spatial levels. At the same time analyzing deeply needs of the elderly subject, behavior characteristics based on the " Age-Friendly " concept. This part includes the second and third chapter.The third part is based on the needs of elder and characteristics of their activity and behavior, which combined with the concept of "Age-Friendly" to build a preliminary evaluation system of elderly-friendly to community outdoor environment, and demonstrating by three community case study. Moreover, putting forward corresponding strategies to the designing of "Age-Friendly" community outdoor environment. This part includes the fourth and fifth chapter.
