A Study Of Thermal Comfort Threshold Of Lingnan Garden

At the beginning of the 20 th century, with the emergence of air conditioning system, thermal comfort of environment has become one of the earliest research topic of the architectural discipline. In the east, by practice people in lingnan area developed garden construction technique to adapt to the local climate, which is a combination of traditional culture and characteristic of lingnan. Nowadays, more attention is paid to the outdoor environment and landscape design of the comfort.With fully aware of lingnan regional climate and thermal comfort, the characteristics of population and objectively evaluate and cognitive methods and experience of the traditional landscape, we can better inheritage this lingnan gardens construction technique, applying the traditional excellent experience in to practice, build in lingnan unique natural, geographical, climatic, the excellent landscape humanities environment. This article mainly has carried on the 3 work:(1) Lingnan gardenas is the main research object in this article. Through field test and the thermal comfort climate questionnaire, we access to a large number thermal comfort questionnair and climate datas of the lingnan garden. Through the climate data and questionnaire statistics, thermal sensation rules of lingnan outdoor area was sum up and also the climate comfort design gimmick of lingnan garden.(2) As Standard Effective Temperature(SET) for index, the lingnan garden outdoor thermal comfort neutral SET value and heat range is preliminarily summarized by questionnaire of thermal comfort, along with the optimal thermal sensation of the outdoor environment in lingnan area. And by comparing the research with other studies of thermal comfort threshold, preliminary summarized the change of threshold indoor and outdoor, and under different outdoor environment.(3) Take ‘diequanzhijin’ landscape design project in xiqiao tingyin lake as an example, by using the thermal environment modeling simulation software ENVI-met, I work out a thermal comfort anticipation of an actual project design through the lingnan thermal comfort threshold value, and put out design optimizing advices about thermal comfort.Outcomes in this paper is the important supplement outdoor thermal comfort evaluation index of the hot and humid area, subtropical areas and lingnan area, as well as a reference evaluation index of lingnan garden thermal comfort design and climate adaptability design.
