Research On The Application Of Lingnan Garden Construction Techniques In The Design Of Public Space Environment In Residential Areas

Traditional garden culture is an important component of China’s5000 year history and culture.How to innovate and inherit the spirit of traditional garden culture in China’s current urban residential environment construction is a question that needs to be continuously explored.As for the design of public space environment in residential areas,there are currently common problems such as landscape homogeneity and lack of ethnic cultural connotations.The public space environment in residential areas is a place for residents to engage in various daily activities such as entertainment,social interaction,rest,and so on.An excellent public space environment design in residential areas that is full of Chinese cultural atmosphere can enhance the living happiness,cultural self-confidence National pride.This thesis aims to enhance the regional and traditional cultural connotations of urban residential environment,explore how to integrate Lingnan literati garden construction techniques with regional characteristics into the landscape construction of public environmental spaces in residential areas,while meeting the functional needs of residents in the residential areas,and try to integrate new concepts,new materials,and new processes through site inspection and analysis of daily activities of residents,To explore the design path of public environmental space in Lingnan garden style residential areas that conforms to the characteristics of the times.First of all,through the analysis of the cultural spirit of Lingnan gardens and outstanding cases related to the environmental design of public spaces in residential areas in China at this stage,the expression principles,carriers,and methods of Lingnan garden construction techniques in public environmental design are summarized.Secondly,taking the Lingnan literati garden culture as the context,the corresponding cultural pedigree map was compiled to draw inspiration from the design,and then the corresponding design practices were improved according to the current situation of the site and the actual needs of residents.Taking traditional culture as the foundation,regional culture as the framework,and the aesthetic characteristics of the times as the bricks and tiles,build a residential public space environment that meets the needs of contemporary residents.I hope to provide valuable references for explorers in this field.
