A Research On The Relationships Of Spatial Sequence Based On Visual Perception Theory

The essential attribute of beauty is "relationship ", which determine the reason why things are beautiful. The author takes "relationship" in the sequence of space as the research object, chooses Gestalt theory in psychology and visual perception as the main theoretial basis, using research method based on the integrity of visual perception to do a rational study of spatial sequence.Chapter One clarifies the topic. Chapter Two summarizes the relationship between the whole and parts in spatial sequence, explains three-tier relationship between them, which are "the whole and the part are relative; whole determines the value of the part; and the part, in turn, affects the whole". Chapter Three discusses the transitional relationship between internal and external in the beginning part of spatial sequence, classifies four different types of transitional relationship. Chapter four utilizes the figure and background relationship theory to discuss the relationship between focus space and overall sequence. Chapter Five discusses the basic structural relationships between space cells based on organizational principles of visual perception.The modern architectural space is ever-changing, the use of organizational principles of visual perception in the research of relationships of spatial sequence can help responding to the change, and giving a more accurate evaluation.
