The economy of China has seen rapid development nowadays,with productivity levels increasing. At the same time, the uneven development of the industry has been appeared since the rapid economic growth. The traditional industries are at the dominant position while we don’t have enough series of innovation types of industries, and the products perform as low value-added inadequate core competitiveness. As we know, technological innovation is the fundamental driving force of economic growth. So it’s quite important to enhance the core competitiveness for technological innovation. There are two types of design techniques for innovative: cognitive-based approach and knowledge-based innovation approach. Because cognitive-based approach is unable to put forward researches based on laws, and knowledge-based innovation approach don’t have an examples library which is big enough, it’s quite important to get further study about analogy design which could approach innovation. We should set rules for analogy design,then we can realize innovation much more easily.Usually, analogy design establishes the source design and target design based on designer or intelligent software. But we can’t get high matching degree between source design and target design which results in difficulties about problem-solving. This paper bases on the resource analysis to establish a resource list. Then we analyze problems and do analogy design with resource analysis throughout the procedure. Finally, we put forward an analogy design model based on resource analysis which can guide the technical staff to use this method. The main contents include the following aspects:(1)Analyzing the current Situation of innovative design and its shortcomings based on the foundation of various types of innovative design techniques. We found that the current situation of innovative design is hard to produce an innovation of high level. Analog design can form a high level of innovation despite the restriction of knowledge domain. So we choose to study on analog design.(2)During the analog design process, the match of similar characteristics relies on designer or intelligent software mainly, which results in greater difficulty feature matching. According to the advantages of resources analysis to solve innovation problems, this paper analyzes the existing system to establish a list of resources which can help similar feature extraction and classification to form better feature match by introducing resource analysis.(3)This paper puts forward an analog design process model based on resource analysis. We build the analog design process model systematically. The model includes such steps as: resource analysis to form a resource list at the beginning, feature mapping between source design and target design about design problems, resource analysis after analogy design, further evolution of resources to find optimal solution. This model has feedback loop to confirm an ideal solution.(4) Based on the theory and design models proposed by this paper, we improvement the 900 T bridge erecting machine. We use analog design method based on analysis of resource to form a better design and optimize product performance, thus verifying the correctness of the above theories and models.
