Green space system planning is always in order to improve urban ecological environment, to beautify city living environment, to constructe regional features, etc. The issue of this thesis is green space system planning how to guide the urban afforestation to achieve the goal above better and to make our city more beautiful.I myself was very proud to be able to participate in formulating<The Green Space System Planning of Jiang Yan, Tai Zhou> in September 2014. During the project, the team evaluated the last green space system planning, studied the related cases and found that medium and small cities like Jiang Yan often had some unifying traits and problems, which caused weak green space system planning managemen, lack of adaptivity and practicability and that the urban afforestation couldn’t achieve the anticipated effect. Taking green space system planning of medium and small cities as range of study and taking control hierarchy and control method and content as research content, so this thesis tries to build a planning systems of green space system of medium and small cities that has medium and small cities’ characteristics and is comparatively complete and efficient. This thesis roughly divided into four parts, seven chapters. The first chapter of this thesis is the introduction section that is the part of basic research digging out the meaning of urban regional urban built-up area、green space in urban regional、urban green space、 hierarchical control. Then it reviews theotical researches at home and abroad which is related to green space system planning or to my thesis about hierarchical control, in order to get all overall cognitive of green space system planning development. Chapter 2 to chapter 5 is the second part, which is core part of the thesis. With hierarchical control of green space system planning as research framework, this part, problem-oriented, expounds in length on control method and content of green space at all levels. The third part, chapter 6, researches on the specific methods on how the model of hierarchical control to use in the real project, combining case analysis. The last part is the conclusion and prospects. The research gets some conclusions below:As research framework, hierarchical control includes three aspects:space range, control strength and planning management.1.First, green space system planning of medium and small cities divides into two levels on the aspect of space range, which are urban regional and urban built-up area that can be subdivided into basic control units and parcels. On the whole, the control deepens layer by layer, with the trend from whole to parts, from structure to parcel and from total quantity to single quantity.2.Second, control strength has 2 levels, which are rigid control and flexible control. The former insures "what must do" and "what cannot do" in urban afforestation, and the latter guides urban afforestation more beautiful and better.3. Last, planning management also consist 2 levels in planning management. Planning deliverables, by law, divided into legal document and technical documents that is used as a reference by management when the planning needs to dynamically adjust based on the actual situation. ALL these are to improve green space system planning’s adaptability and enhance its practicability.
