| As a result of the limitation of various factors such as economic climate environment, local culture and technical economy, traditional dwellings give full consideration to use resources that can be direct obtained and favorable climate, terrain conditions in the beginning of construction. Such method can obtain the passive techniques as natural heating and ventilation. As an important part of traditional dwellings, the design and use of the buffer space possesses a unique climate adaptability. This thesis comprehensively studys factors having effect on low-energy-performance of traditional dwellings in water town in the south of the yangtze river through on-the-spot investigation, data collection, software simulation.Firstly, the article discusses background, reasons, purpose and meaning of the research, and the status of the study of traditional houses and buffer space at home and abroad. By summarizing existing research techniques and the lack of existing completion, this part determines the direction of this research. The second chapter defines the concept and scope of the buffer space. It exists abundant types of buffer space in this area. Scope of the study is defined as buffer space in the single dwellings. From the theoretical analysis i know that buffer space has a certain performance of climate regulation. There are a lot of research on buffer space in traditional houses, but the problem is the lack of intuitive research results that can guide the design. In this paper, the study expects to fill the missing. The third chapter discovers problems in extant dwellings through field research and surveys, and summary of the residents’ satisfaction for the living environment. I find it necessary to clear the climate regulation performance of the buffer space that starting research questions from the perspective of the natural ventilation and solar radiation heat gain and natural ventilation. The forth chapter research on the patio which is the most common buffer space in this area. Through site visits, data collection, I summary the forms of patio and identified object of this chapter. Software simulation is used to figure out the influence on dwellings, solar radiation heat gain, natural ventilation brought by patio. The fifth chapter research on the space under eaves. Through site visits, data collection, I summary the forms of the space under eaves and identified object of this chapter. Software simulation is used to figure out the influence on dwellings, solar radiation heat gain, natural ventilation brought by the depth of the space. The last chapter comprehensive surveys of this research and the results of this paper, and briefly discusses the problems and future direction of the research. |
