Patio is a typical climate adaptation technology in Huizhou traditional vernacular dwellings,which has significant influence on indoor thermal environment in summer.In this paper,the ventilation,wind protection,sunshade,heat insulation,daylighting,the heating and other functions of the patio are comprehensively excavated and analyzed theoretically.Through the measurement of patio residence summer indoor thermal environment,it is concluded that daytime shading,heat insulation,transition space and natural ventilation at night are effective in creating a comfortable indoor thermal environment.In order to analyze the influence of patio on natural ventilation of Huizhou traditional vernacular dwellings,establishing dwelling model with or without patio,using CFD software,for the different opening conditions of the building in the door hole,different wind direction,whether there is no screen condition,simulate indoor velocity field distribution and air changes.The results show that patio to improve the indoor air changes so as to improve indoor natural ventilation effect is remarkable.In order to analyze the shade effect of patio in summer,using Ecotect software to establish dwelling model with or without patio,in the case of patio and different patio dimensions,simulating the amount of solar radiation exposed to the wall of dwellings,the results show that the shading effect of roof and patio is obvious,increasing the height of the patio is conducive to summer shading,and increasing the width of the patio is conducive to winter heating.The height and width of the height and width of the patio are increased,which is conducive to summer shading,which is not conducive to winter heating.In order to analyze the influence of the patio and lightweight envelope structure on indoor thermal environment,using Design Builder software to establish dwelling model with or without patio.Selecting the influence factors of heat storage of envelope and natural ventilation of night including patio,night ventilation period,inner surface convective heat transfer coefficient,internal heat storage,ventilation rate at night,analyzed the influence of above factors on the indoor thermal environment.It is concluded that the number of overheated hours in the construction of the patio is slightly lower than that in the absence of the patio;without patio building has the lowest number of overheated hours at 20:00~8:00,and patio building has the lowest number of hot hours is at 18:00~6:00;with the increase of night ventilation,convective heat transfer coefficient and heat storage area,the number of overheated hours gradually decreased.This study is to use modern scientific knowledge to reveal the climate adaptation design principle of Huizhou traditional vernacular dwellings patio,analyzes its influence on the indoor thermal environment,The function of traditional vernaculardwellings patio is quantified and analyzed scientifically,and optimize the patio design research,for the Huizhou traditional vernacular dwellings patio of inheritance and innovation to provide the scientific basis.
