With the continuous progress of society, the demand of hydraulic diaphragm metering pump in all areas is more and more large-scale. It promote to the areas of industrial production and control the national economy. Market is becoming more and more high requirement of the pump performance, the traditional design method cost a lot of time and resources, sometimes it even can’t achieve the goal of developing high-performance metering pump. Virtual prototype modeling and simulation technology, as the key technology of structure optimization design, provides effective technical support for the optimization design of hydraulic diaphragm metering pump. The technology which can be starting from the component design, considering the factors impact on performance, applies to simulation research for mechanical, hydraulic system and further optimization of the design.In connection with a specific hydraulic diaphragm metering pump, this paper carries on the research and design of hydraulic end. The powerful function of Solidworks modelling is used to establish the entity prototype on hydraulic diaphragm metering pump. Combined with traditional design method and the virtual prototype modeling and simulation technology, based on the relevant theoretical knowledge of hydraulic diaphragm metering pump, we will establish the mathematical model of pump volume loss. Using AMESim simulation software system, hydraulic diaphragm metering pump system model will be established. By comparing the analysis results of the two models, we achieve the purposes of optimizing parameters and improving structural design of pumps.The factors that influence the volumetric efficiency of hydraulic diaphragm metering pump as the starting point, highlight the volume loss caused by the valve delay and liquid compressed. To establish the mathematical model of crankshaft rotation speed and volume loss, analysis the effect on volume efficiency of the metering pump design parameters and the crankshaft speed, calculate the volume loss of determine pump. At the same time, using AMESim system simulation software to establish the system of hydraulic diaphragm metering pump, analysis the relation between the suction valve and drain valve closing with the crankshaft speed, the pump volumetric efficiency with the pump valve open and close delay. Finally, according to the operation requirements of the hydraulic diaphragm metering pump volumetric efficiency, synthetically utilizing the result with the mathematical model and the simulation experiment, obtain the best crankshaft speed range under the normal feed liquid of the pump. It is important to the research and design on the high flow of hydraulic diaphragm metering pump, provide the methods for the research and design on hydraulic diaphragm metering pump, in order to improve the performance of hydraulic diaphragm metering pump.
