In recent years, hydraulic transmission technology has been widely used in aerospace, marine, defense and other areas as the key technology of modern transmission and control. With the development of modern industry, the design and research of hydraulic components and hydraulic transmission system which can meet the demand of a variety of working conditions is an important direction of the development of hydraulic transmission technology.This article focuses on the design and research of the new gear pump(motor) and the new hydraulic transmission system made up of them, making them serialization and regularization, which lays the theoretical foundation of the design of hydraulic transmission system meeting different conditions. To this end, the research status of hydraulic transmission technology and gear pump(motor) is described firstly. The proportional gear pump which consists of external gear pump and internal gear pump and the parallel gear motor which is made up of multiple external gear motors of same displacement has been designed and the working principle, the output characteristics, the parameter selection, the hydraulic radial force of them have been analyzed. Then the foundation symbol of proportional gear pump and parallel gear motor is set, the gear multi-pump and multi-motor transmission system has been designed and of which output speed and torque have been analyzed, expanded and summarized. Finally, establish the model of the gear multi-pump and multi-motor transmission system, set parameter of each component, and do simulation analysis in AMESim. Then the simulation results of the output speed and torque of motor in different working way have been compared with those of theoretical analysis. Set up the experimental platform of the gear multi-pump and multi-motor transmission system with experimental prototype, electromagnetic directional valves, speed torque tester and hydraulic experimental platform, then the output speed and torque of motor in different working way have been collected, recorded and analyzed.The results show that the working principle of proportional gear pump and parallel gear motor is right and they are superior to the conventional gear pump(motor) in output characteristics, hydraulic radial force, etc; the gear multi-pump and gear multi-motor transmission system can output multi-stage constant rotate speed and constant torque to adapt different conditions; the error between experimental results and theoretical analysis is in the allowable range, which provides the experimental basis for the design and research of the gear multi-pump and multi-motor transmission system.
