Generation planning is an important part of electric power system planning. The availability of planning scheme will directly affect the final quality of power system operating indices, which will have great influence on safe stable operation of power system. In an environment of low-carbon economy, index system for comprehensive evaluation of generation planning scheme consists of reliability, economy, environmental, etc. Generation power of intermittent generation has characteristics of volatility, randomness and uncontrollability. With the continuously increasing permeability of intermittent generation, new demand for generation planning is put forward. Intermittent generation integration becomes an important factor influencing the comprehensive evaluation of generation planning scheme. Based on the above analysis, the problem of comprehensive evaluation of generation planning scheme involving intermittent generation is studied as follows:At first, Models for generation planning are introduced. Moreover, the main methods of establishment of index system and comprehensive evaluation are introduced briefly. Those provide a certain theoretical basis for the comprehensive evaluation of generation planning scheme involving intermittent generation. Moreover, index system for comprehensive evaluation of generation planning scheme involving intermittent generation is studied. Aiming at deficiency of the evaluation index system for comprehensive evaluation of generation planning scheme involving intermittent generation, a new initial index system for comprehensive evaluation of generation planning scheme involving intermittent generation is established, which consists of four aspects: reliability, economy, access capability of intermittent generation and environmental protection. Moreover, a new method of combining grey correlation theory with evidence theory for setting up index system is put forward. Grey correlation theory is used to calculate high-related indexes of the initial index system. Evidential theory is used to decide whether the high-related indexes can be deleted. Till then, the eventual index system for comprehensive evaluation of generation planning scheme involving intermittent generation meet the subjective and impersonal demands. The conclusive result of simulation example demonstrates the effectiveness of the index system. At last, comprehensive evaluation of generation planning scheme involving intermittent generation is studied. A new method for establishment of evaluation matrixes based on the cloud model is put forward and cloud model is used to improve fuzzy analytic hierarchy process(FAHP) because the fuzziness of FAHP is not thorough. With the weights based on the cloud model, remark sets based on the cloud mode, evaluation matrixes based on the cloud model and comprehensive evaluation result based on the cloud model, the generation planning scheme involving intermittent generation is evaluated. The conclusive result of simulation example demonstrates the reasonableness and effectiveness of the comprehensive evaluation model, which provide a systematic approach to comprehensive evaluation of generation planning scheme.
